Hi... Hoping someone can think of movies where this type of scene occurs or happens: Just looking for a list of movies and maybe a little more of the details "story line" coming up to the scene. I'm trying to get a list of movies where the leading actress plays a authority role (cop, guard, military, FBI, secret services, etc. etc). They do good things during the movie and for one reason or another... are killed or don't make it to the end. More or less, bad things happen to the character... as in, its not the "happy ending, sunset movie ending" most people want. Can you help me out? Thanks Beth

Thats a tough one Beth. Not sure where you can find such a list. Try IMDB.com for lists of movies by year, genre, box office, etc. That might help you create your own list of favorites. Good luck! |

I have been going crazy with a movie quote rattling around in my brain but I just cannot remember the exact quote or the movie. Help!!! The quote has something to do with the Marx Brothers and the voices in my head sound like Sean Connery. Can you help me identify this line and the movie it comes from. |

Babs...didn't we see you in "Animal House"? Relax your brain. I have the answer. Referring to his diary that has just fallen into the hands of the Nazis, Sean Connery tells Harrison Ford "I should have mailed it to the Marx Brothers". Remember now? It is from "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade". Here's a little "Last Crusade" trivia. Did you know that Sean Connery who played the part of Indiana Jones' father is only 12 years older than Harrison Ford? |

In answer to Beth's original question, I'm not sure if these are what you're after...but let's give it a shot: The Seventh Sign -- the movie is about the second coming of the Christ, and the main character (played by Demi Moore) chooses to die in order to save her newborn son; (For the truly trivia deprived, Michael Biehn plays the husband--and he is not either a cop or in the military, unlike practically every other movie he's in.) Beaches -- the movie is about one friend coming to terms with the other's eventual death. (Barbara Hershey plays the friend who dies.) The Matrix -- I know...obvious. Anyway, Trinity dies, doesn't she? Medal of Honor -- Meg Ryan plays a helicopter commander who dies because her crew refuses to go back and save her. City of Angels -- Meg Ryan (notice a pattern plays a doctor who's love interest is a fallen angel. She dies (rather unexpectedly) toward the end. That's all I've got right now, but I'll let you know if I get any more ideas. NavyVeteran_97

Good list NV_97. One small correction though, Meg Ryan's helicopter pilot role that had her being considered posthumously for the Medal of Honor was "Courage Under Fire". Thanks for the imput. |
